A Classic Icon Inspired by Defender OCTA
Land Rover Classic, the official home of Classic Defender restoration and customisation, has announced that the Classic Defender V8 can now be commissioned to match any colour and trim combination of the latest Defender OCTA. As the most extreme and dynamically accomplished Defender ever produced, OCTA sets a new benchmark—one that now extends into the world of classic luxury 4x4s.
New OCTA-Inspired Colours and Body Styles
Available in 90 and 110 Station Wagon forms, as well as the 90 Soft Top, the Classic Defender V8 gains five new exterior colours inspired by Defender OCTA. These include OCTA-exclusive Petra Copper, Faroe Green and Sargasso Blue, alongside Narvik Black from OCTA Black and Patagonia White. Existing options such as Borasco Grey, Carpathian Grey and Charente Grey remain available.
Hand-Finished Paintwork with Satin Options
Each Classic Defender V8 spends approximately 300 hours in the paint shop, undergoing meticulous preparation, colour matching and final polishing. All colours can be specified in a high-gloss finish or a specially developed satin finish, designed to mirror the sheen of Defender OCTA’s optional Matte Protective Film.
Interior Personalisation Inspired by OCTA
For the first time, Classic Defender customers can specify interiors inspired directly by Defender OCTA. Lightweight Ultrafabrics™ PU is offered in Khaki Green, Light Cloud and Lunar, complemented by Burnt Sienna semi-aniline leather and Ebony leather to match OCTA Black. Heated, hand-trimmed Recaro sports seats are available, with bespoke colour placement across the steering wheel, controls, dashboard, headlining and door trims.
V8 Performance and Bespoke Engineering
Every Classic Defender V8 is rebuilt from a 2012–2016 donor vehicle and upgraded with a 405PS 5.0-litre V8 engine. An eight-speed ZF automatic transmission, bespoke suspension, revised steering and uprated brakes ensure commanding performance combined with refined on-road dynamics.

Pricing for the Classic Defender V8 starts from £190,000 plus local taxes, with each vehicle covered by a one-year, unlimited-mileage warranty.
