Mercedes-Benz unveils the Vision Iconic, a show car that redefines luxury design by blending the timeless elegance of the brand’s legendary models with the most advanced technologies of the electric age.
The Iconic Grille — A Rebirth of Prestige

The Vision Iconic’s front end pays homage to the upright chrome grilles of Mercedes-Benz classics such as the W 108, W 111, and the majestic 600 Pullman.
These vehicles symbolised status and authority through their tall, polished grilles — a visual language now reborn for the digital age.
The Vision Iconic translates that heritage into modern expression through a chromed frame and smoked-glass lattice, illuminated by intricate LED contour lighting. The grille no longer serves as an air intake but as a digital signature of presence and intelligence. The illuminated three-pointed star on the bonnet further enhances this interplay between legacy and innovation, reflecting a confident evolution from mechanical beauty to emotional technology.
Flowing Sculpture — The Spirit of the 300 SL

The Vision Iconic’s silhouette draws direct inspiration from the legendary 300 SL, a design masterpiece of the 1950s. Its sculptural lines — flowing seamlessly from the long hood to the elegantly tapered rear — evoke a sense of aerodynamic grace.
The rear design reinterprets the 300 SL’s elongated tail, creating a dynamic yet dignified form that glows beneath the deep black high-gloss finish. It feels both timeless and futuristic, a “sculpture in motion” in the truest sense.
A Lounge of Art Deco Elegance

Inside, Vision Iconic celebrates the rebirth of Art Deco — merging geometric purity with handcrafted luxury reminiscent of the 600 Pullman’s ceremonial ambience.
At its centre, the floating glass instrument panel, dubbed the “Zeppelin,” fuses analogue beauty with digital intelligence. When the door opens, the cluster animates with the precision of a fine chronograph — a nod to traditional mechanical mastery.
Mother-of-pearl marquetry graces the door panels, encircling silver-gold brass handles, while the straw marquetry floor unfolds in fan-shaped Art Deco motifs. Every surface tells a story of craftsmanship, merging the tactile warmth of the past with the precision of the future.
Heritage and Innovation in Perfect Balance
Beyond design, the Vision Iconic pioneers solar paint technology, transforming sunlight into usable energy that could extend range by up to 12,000 km annually. Its neuromorphic computing architecture mimics the human brain, making AI-driven systems 10 times more efficient and up to 90% less energy-intensive.
This fusion of heritage aesthetics and technological intelligence defines a new level of emotional luxury — one that is unmistakably Mercedes-Benz.
The Legacy Reimagined
The W 108 and W 111 stand for stately elegance.
The 300 SL defines fluid beauty.
The 600 Pullman embodies sovereign luxury.
Together, their DNA converges in the Vision Iconic — a vehicle that bridges eras, transforming a century of Mercedes-Benz design into a vision for the century to come. It is not just a car, but a living sculpture that carries the past forward into a luminous new age.
