Fastest Touring Ever on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife
The BMW M3 CS Touring has set a new milestone on the Nürburgring-Nordschleife, achieving an astonishing lap time of 7:29.490 minutes — the fastest ever recorded by a Touring car on the legendary 20.832-kilometre “Green Hell.” This feat surpasses the previous best set by the BMW M3 Touring in 2022 (7:35.060 minutes).
Franciscus van Meel, CEO of BMW M GmbH, commented: “From the very beginning, the BMW M3 CS Touring was designed to push dynamic limits. This record proves that it perfectly blends racing DNA with everyday usability.”

The Ultimate One Car Solution
With 550 hp from a straight-six engine, a 0–100 km/h time of just 3.5 seconds, and a top speed of 300 km/h, the M3 CS Touring exemplifies what BMW M calls the “One Car Solution” — a car for both the racetrack and daily life. It comes equipped with the M xDrive all-wheel-drive system, M Steptronic 8-speed transmission, precision-tuned chassis, and a distinctive M-specific exhaust system for an emotionally charged sound experience.
The M3 CS Touring’s performance places it just behind the M3 CS (7:28.760) and M4 CS (7:21.989), confirming its position as one of the fastest midsize production vehicles from BMW M.
BMW M and the Nürburgring: A Longstanding Partnership
BMW M’s connection to the Nürburgring goes far beyond lap times. For over 25 years, the BMW M Test Centre has served as a development hub for high-performance models. Iconic landmarks such as the BMW M Power Grandstand, BMW M Bridge, and the revamped BMW M Power Showroom underscore the Nürburgring’s importance as the spiritual home of BMW M.
Additionally, the BMW M Driving Experience allows fans to drive M vehicles through the Nordschleife under expert guidance, making the brand’s motorsport heritage more tangible than ever.
