The BMW E30, provided by CARCHVST as a prop car, makes an appearance in the music video for “Venus Bug” by Hoshimachi Suisei, one of Japan’s leading Virtual YouTubers (VTubers).
The BMW E30 represents the second generation of the BMW 3 Series, produced from the 1980s through the early 1990s. Embodying the essence of “Sheer Driving Pleasure,” its compact and handsome silhouette manages to be both luxurious and sporty. Distinguished by its boxy, straight-line styling and iconic quad-round headlights—design elements notably absent in modern vehicles—this model continues to garner fervent support from enthusiasts worldwide.
Hoshimachi Suisei
A virtual idol and VTuber (Generation 0) affiliated with hololive production. With the catchphrase, “A diamond in the rough that appeared like a comet,” she engages in a wide array of activities, primarily focusing on singing and game streaming. Her greatest appeal lies in her overwhelming vocal prowess and expressive power. Transcending the traditional boundaries of a virtual singer, she was the very first VTuber to perform on “THE FIRST TAKE,” earning high acclaim across the entire music industry. She is a frontrunner who has established a unique position in the contemporary pop scene, successfully headlining solo concerts at arenas and the Nippon Budokan.
Venus Bug
An original track by Hoshimachi Suisei, featuring lyrics, composition, and arrangement by Enon Kawatani, a leading musician shaping the Japanese pop and rock scenes. It is featured as the fourth track on her 3rd full album, Shinsei Mokuroku, released on January 22, 2025. Within the album, which explores the theme of “individual revolutions,” this ambitious piece stands out for its complex, highly addictive melody—a signature of Kawatani’s production—and its urbane, exhilarating soundscape.
