A Two-Seat All-Electric Sports Car
On September 2, 2025, in Milan, Audi unveiled the Audi Concept C, a two-seat all-electric sports car that embodies the brand’s new design philosophy. At its core lies the principle of radical simplicity – eliminating the superfluous and highlighting only the essentials. This approach represents both a design direction and a corporate realignment for the brand.
Vertical Frame and a New Audi Face
The Concept C introduces a vertical frame at the center of its front design, inspired by the Auto Union Type C (1936) and the third-generation Audi A6 (2004). This reinterpretation connects Audi’s heritage with its future, establishing identity and presence. A new light signature featuring four horizontal elements in each headlamp and taillight ensures unmistakable recognition day and night.
Innovative Roof Concept
For the first time in an Audi roadster, an electrically retractable hardtop has been developed. Composed of two roof elements, it preserves the monolithic character of a coupé while offering an open-air driving experience. Combined with the car’s taut proportions and strong shoulder line, this design emphasizes both elegance and performance.
Refined Interior Atmosphere
Inside, the Concept C features clear geometric architecture and a titanium-inspired tone-on-tone color palette that creates a sophisticated atmosphere. Physical controls made from anodized aluminum deliver a distinctive Audi “click”, ensuring a tactile experience of mechanical quality. A 10.4-inch foldable center display and intuitive control layout place the driver at the heart of the interaction.
“The Radical Next” – Audi’s New Design Philosophy
Chief Creative Officer Massimo Frascella describes the philosophy as follows:
“Radical simplicity is at the heart of our approach. We achieve clarity by reducing everything to the essential – and the outcome must always be an emotion.”
CEO Gernot Döllner echoes this, calling clarity the new compass that will guide Audi into the future. The Concept C, therefore, is not merely a study but the first manifestation of “The Radical Next”, shaping both products and corporate principles.
From Concept to Production
The Audi Concept C is not just a vision of the distant future. Audi confirmed that the model is slated for production at its Böllinger Höfe plant in Germany, marking a decisive step toward the next generation of vehicles. As a trailblazer, the Concept C highlights the path Audi will take in design, technology, and brand philosophy.
