The HYUNDAI Heritage Series Grandeur is the second EV restomod car in the Heritage Series, following the “Heritage Series PONY”, which was announced by Hyundai Motor Company on 12 November 2021.

The car’s design is based on the first generation Hyundai Grandeur, which was created in 1986, and the “Heritage Series Grandeur” was created to celebrate the 35th anniversary of this model. The first-generation Grandeur was developed by Mitsubishi Motors for Hyundai as a dignitary transport vehicle for the Seoul Olympics and shares its platform with Mitsubishi’s second-generation Debonair.

Resto-Mod is a term coined from Restored and Modified/Modern, meaning that a classic is remodelled with the latest technology and design to give it a modern look. In this case, the classic design of the original Granger is retained, but modernised with a full EV, pixel LED lights, digital side mirrors, digital display, sound system with 18 speakers, etc.
