At FuoriConcorso 2025, held on May 24–25 at the stunning lakeside venues of Villa del Grumello and Villa Sucota, Mercedes-Benz Classic stole the show with an unforgettable airborne reveal of two motorsport legends: the C 11 and the CLK GTR. Along with the ultra-rare road-legal CLK GTR Coupé, the trio was lowered into the gardens by mobile crane, creating a cinematic moment above Lake Como.

The Mercedes-Benz C 11 made its debut in 1990, winning its first race at Monza and later securing the Group C championship. The CLK GTR, developed for the 1997 FIA GT Championship, secured second place at Mugello and clinched the overall title the same year. Both cars symbolize the Silver Arrows’ dominance in endurance racing—and both share a deep connection to Italian circuits.

Also showcased was the ultra-rare road version of the CLK GTR Coupé, produced in a limited run of just 20 coupés and five roadsters in 1998. The featured example belongs to the prestigious Nationales Automuseum The Loh Collection.

The weekend also included engaging talks at Villa Sucota, where high-profile guests such as Marcus Breitschwerdt, CEO of Mercedes-Benz Heritage GmbH, discussed themes like “Rally and F1” and “Italian Racing.”

By bringing together the C 11 and CLK GTR in a spectacular and symbolic display, Mercedes-Benz Classic reaffirmed FuoriConcorso’s status as one of the most refined and compelling events in the world of historic automobiles.
