Mercedes-Benz and Moncler have unveiled PROJECT MONDO G, a unique collaborative art project that combines the iconic G-Class with Moncler’s signature design elements, which was presented at London Fashion Week on 20 February 2023 and The project was premiered at the show ‘The Art of Genius’ by Moncler at the The show, organised by Moncler, featured brands and artists such as Alicia Keys, Pharrell Williams, Adidas Originals, FRGMT, Salehe Bembury, Palm Angels and ROC NATION by Jay-Z.
PROJECT MONDO G combines the iconic Mercedes-Benz off-roader G-Class features with the style of Moncler’s puffer jackets, creating a spectacular contrast between the angular design of the G-Class and the soft, flowing lines of the quilted textiles, The fusion of these opposites creates a sculptural object.
With functionality at its core, an undeniably unique functional product that has evolved over the past few decades into a lifestyle item with luxury value, PROJECT MONDO G allows us to experience the transformation of what was once a purely utilitarian product into a design.
The project is Moncler’s first partnership with the automobile and aims to create a platform for co-creation across diverse new industries such as art, technology, sport, music and design.
