BMW Motorrad Unveils the Vision CE: A Glimpse into the Future of Urban Mobility

Language Switcher

On September 1, 2025, at the IAA Mobility 2025 motor show, BMW Motorrad presented its latest concept vehicle, the BMW Motorrad Vision CE. This innovative model showcases the brand’s vision for the future of electric, single-track urban mobility, reaffirming its leadership in the field of intelligent, connected, and sustainable two-wheel transportation.

Freedom Without a Helmet

The standout feature of the Vision CE is its groundbreaking approach to rider freedom—eliminating the need for a helmet or protective gear. Inspired by the pioneering BMW C1 from 25 years ago, the Vision CE reinterprets this philosophy with a futuristic design language, offering a casual and carefree commuting experience while redefining the joy of urban riding.

Safety at the Core: The “Cage”

At the heart of the Vision CE is a metal tube composite structure, known as the “cage.” Paired with a specially designed seat and seat belt, it ensures a safe and emotional riding experience without traditional protective equipment. The model also incorporates a self-balancing function, allowing it to remain stable when stationary—enhancing convenience in urban settings.

A Bold Design Statement

The Vision CE features a stretched silhouette with a long wheelbase and reduced height, creating a dynamic yet lightweight appearance. Its matte white base color, contrasted with black elements, is complemented by exposed aluminum details and neon red highlights, projecting a futuristic, sculptural identity.

Continuing BMW Motorrad’s Innovation Legacy

From the C evolution in 2014 to the CE 04 in 2022 and the CE 02 in 2024, BMW Motorrad has consistently led the way in electric two-wheel innovation. The Vision CE builds upon this legacy, presenting a forward-looking vision of urban electromobility that is safe, stylish, and truly groundbreaking.
