CAPPER first gained public recognition through The Rap of China in 2019, reaching the Top 14. His breakthrough came in 2021 when he won the rap competition show Youth Rap Project. His style blends mumble rap, trap beats, and emotionally charged Auto-Tune melodies. Notable tracks include Ouroboros (衔尾蛇) and 雪 Distance.
Health Struggles & Hiatus
In May 2023, CAPPER lost his voice mid-performance during a live show. Doctors later confirmed serious vocal cord damage. This was followed by further complications, including respiratory alkalosis and bipolar disorder, forcing him to step away from music. He addressed fans via social media, apologizing and announcing his focus on recovery.
Return and New Chapter
In July 2024, CAPPER made his comeback on the televised music program Shining Summer (闪光的夏天) with the performance of Deep Sea. The track reflects his inner battles and healing process, delivered through a matured sound that leans heavily on Auto-Tune as an expressive tool.
